Thankfully the child came down without injury – at least physical injury – the trauma she now carries and her unrealized fear of a strong breeze will surely follow her for the rest of her life.

For how the child became entangled in the kite, I do not know. But surely someone is to blame, maybe an older brother playing a trick, or an absent-minded parent. Or, and this might sound crazy, a three-year-old saw a giant colorful ribbon and wrapped itself up inside it.
