Some random events don't feel random at all. Sometimes, when things go wrong, when you are struck by unfortunate circumstances so wildly unlucky, it's hard to scratch it off as plain coincidence. It just feels a little too... intentional.

This was a student hostel/dorm built by my college in the 1960s. They forgot to make a door for one of the balconies so it's useless for the person who gets that room.
