Sex education can't prepare you for everything under the sheets. But some sex ed classes didn't prepare anyone for anything. Over at r/AskReddit they discussed how some sex education classes didn't teach them important things about sex that they had to learn on their own.

Not me but for the guys I’ve gone out with, an astounding portion did not know they were circumcised. They knew circumcision was cutting off the foreskin, but no one bothered to show pictures of what the foreskin was. u/Peanut_butter_sucks

I didn’t prepare me for fertility troubles, it had me convinced that if I had unprotected sex once I would definitely get pregnant. I know they were trying to prevent teen pregnancies, but my fertility is now messing with my mental health something awful. u/Swims_With_Dogs

Sometimes, no matter how healthy you are, things can go wrong during a pregnancy. You might have to make difficult decisions when that happens. No one can prepare you for that kind of loss. I don't think our society really understands that pregnancy is still dangerous. u/ElectionProper8172
