Birth control was invented for a reason.

Families have gotten smaller over the decades. In 2024, the average size of the American household was 2.5 people. In 1920, it was 4.3. 

People today just aren't boning like they used to. Maybe it's the phones, the televisions, the dating apps, or maybe, it's that kids are more expensive than they used to be. 

Whatever the case may be, there once was a time when there was nothing to do but make babies.
