Long days at work leave us dangling the one thing in mind we actually look forward to. Whatever 'takes the edge off'. And that's exactly how we end up rushing between things, good and bad, with little attention paid to whatever comes between.

And, paradoxically, that may be why time seems to speed up for us. Life becomes a little more... vibrant -- again -- when renewed attention is paid to that boring wallpaper of life.

Maybe that's why some remember childhood through rose-tinted glasses; time slows down when you pay attention.
