If you don't know history, you are doomed to repeat it. Or so they say.
Black and white photography is a gift that keeps on giving. In its original grainy form, it offers us a clear picture of what life was like before the invention of color photography, and when it's given new life with color it helps remind us that while things have changed, people have mostly stayed the same.
So while we haven't invented time travel just yet, historical pictures are the closest thing we have to transporting ourselves to the past.
