This is the stuff they don’t show you in the movies. Drifting looks like fun, but as anyone with a basic understanding of physics will tell you, cars really aren’t designed to go sideways. When they do, incredible pressure is exerted onto the wheel in a manner to which it hasn’t been previously accustomed. As a result, if you drift a little too enthusiastically, you risk what happened to this guy, where his wheel saw him begin to drift and just decided to tap out.
