Congrats on your degree — let’s celebrate by hitting you in the head over and over again!

Typically, celebrations are held with balloons. There’s a reason for this — balloons are so light that they naturally spread apart, making it easy to have one drop point that naturally disperses them through a crowd.

You might think this is obvious. If you thought that, you’re not the planners of this graduation ceremony. Instead of balloons, they opted to use much heavier beach balls. As a result, the balls fell not throughout the crowd, but on the small group of people who were unfortunately placed right below them.

But don’t think of it as “getting hit by a bunch of beach balls” — think of it as an on-the-nose metaphor for your student debt!
